2019 t770 aux hydraulic controller

The indicator lamp associated the dash mounted aux hydraulics switch on a T770 stays illuminated or is intermittent. havent dug into it much yet but am wondering if a replacement aux controller can be programmed by bobcat without being installed in the machine?

Can they at least bench test it on the counter first to confirm it's actually bad before you go the programming route? In my experience Bobcat usually wants the controller in-machine to marry it up but worth asking your dealer since some of them can do it off a laptop in the shop. Good sign either way that it's just the light acting up and not the aux function itself dropping out on you.
