Bobcat 334 Temp Gauge Malfunction

334 Bobcat Mini Excavator... Temp gauge reads hot all the time even when you first crank it up (all the way over as far as it can go). Replaced the sending unit and it did not fix the problem. Should I replace the gauge? Other suggestions? Thanks for your input! Phil

Not a ton of experience with these, but my logic says that if you unplug the sensor and the gauge remains in hot zone, it's the gauge, if it drops to cold then it's a wiring issue.
