I have a Bobcat 742 with a Ford 1.6L gas engine. This is a late 1980's model. The engine model is 2274E. The unit has 1125 hrs. on it.
I bought this recently and have since had it in the shop for a tune up, as it was running quite rough. Overall it is great shape, and the engine is sound. The mechanic re-set the timing, which was way off, but discovered the timing vacuum controller is bad. He has not been able to locate one and Bobcat says it is no longer available from them.
Does anyone know where one may possibly look for these older parts? Does anyone have a parts list that would identify the part number? My old controller does not have a part number on it, and we have been searching solely on description, model and yr. of unit (742).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
